DeShawn Stevenson

DeShawn Stevenson is an NBA player he plays for the Utah Jazz and was arrested couple of times but was recently convicted of the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl when he was 20. Stevenson was convicted and served community service his case was changed from a felony to a misdemeanor. Stevenson was again picked up for public intoxication two days after the Dallas Mavericks won their first championship in June. I think that Stevenson shouldn't get to play in the NBA again because that sets a bad image for the youth who are interested in the NBA.

How Kevin Durants Mom Helps Him.

Wanda Pratt the mother of Kevin Durant is always there for him even as Kevin was a kid he always had support from his mom and until today she supports him for what he does. When Kevin was playing at the 2012 finals against the Miami Heats his mom stood there cheering with the rest of the fans. And when Kevin would be sick she would stay with him for couple of days till he gets better. I think that this sets a good image to get parents or family members to support their kids.

ANTHONY DAVIS

Anthony Davis the number one over all draft pick of 2012 that was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets. Their name  is now the Pelicans though. Anthony was drafted by the Hornets just like Austin Rivers 2012 as their starting power forward-center. Anthony has averaged 13 points a game witch isn't bad for a rookie but he missed 17 games this summer due to injury and also missed the last 23 games of the regular season. Maybe next year Anthony.

Jason Kidd Retired

Jason Kidd announced his retirement Monday after 19 seasons as one of the best passing and rebounding point guards in NBA history. Jason Kidd said" I think it is the right time".Kidd told ESPNNewYork. "When you think about 19 years, it has been a heckuva ride. My thought on this is that we will be missing one of the best competeters in the NBA. We will miss his leadership and the advice he gives the young players.

Lebron James: Can He Do It ?

Lebron James is an incredible athlete, who plays for the Miami Heat. He has just recently joined the Miami Heat, since he joined the Miami Heat he has led them the team to three consecutive NBA finals, he's also one of the highest paying player in the NBA. Many compare him to Michael Jordan.

I don't actually think that Lebron James is capable of leading his team on his back. He is over-rated, and he thinks highly of himself, so much that he thinks he is the best player that ever played in the NBA.

Wes Leonard

Wes Leonard was a High School Tragedy. He played for the Fenville High Basketball and Football team. The last game he played was against Bridgman High. Fenville were looking for an undefeated season and Wes gave them that.

With 30 seconds left Wes made a layup and Fenville won the game. The score at the end was 57-55. After handshaking and getting ready to celebrate Wes collapsed and had a cardiac arrest. Somebody found an AED ut the battery died.

How the NBA Works.

There are many ways the NBA works. The NBA  is like a job which has a career and you have to put your effort into it. But a small amount of people make it to there. In order for you to enter the NBA you have to get drafted by a franchise team such as OKC or Lakers or Heat then from there you could start your career. Players also change teams while this drafting is happening. In the earlier drafts the teams would draft in reverse order of their win or loss. There are special rules that teams have to follow to draft players from local areas such as within their states. The lottery  is   normally held during either the third or fourth week of May. The lottery happens every year. In 2011 lottery Wolves, Cavaliers, and Utah Jazz won the first place.

ARSENAL BiGGEST SUMMER TARGET

Arsenal recently confirmed interest in Florentina Striker Jovetic. He currently has 14 goals in 27 games. He will be around 23 million euros to join the ambitious Arsenal team. He is Arsenal's top summer transfer and with a 70 million euro war chest they are ready to pay at any cost. Arsenal are not the only clubs interested in Jovetic he seem rivals Chelsea are most likely to acquire the young Serbian. I am excited he is joining Arsenal but I fear other teams might pounce on the striker. But I believe as an Arsenal fan he is not enough maybe Mario Gomez. The reason why I believe that is because they bought Giroud last season. He is pretty good but is inconsistent when it comes to important goals. We need a player with experience and skill. Jovetic just has skill and sometimes lacks the goalscoring ability Arsenal desperately needs.

Why The NBA is better than the NFL?

The NBA is better than the NFL. because they actually have power rather than the NFL because they don't have their own leverage everyone is always depending on another. The NFL doesn't have a unique thing that some other people can't have, so that's why there's many NFL recruits because so many people have the chance to join the NFL. Second, is that the best always makes it to the Championship. The NBA makes it difficult just to get to the playoffs. While in the NFL you can get there luck.

I personally think that the NBA is better than the NFL, because it's safer to play, and there's more competition, it's not a bunch of guys running around hitting each other. It's also more fun to watch instead of NFL.

Lonny Baxter Criminal Recorded

Lonny Baxter was born in January 27 1979 in Silver Spring Maryland. Lonny Baxter was arrested on August 2006 for firing a handgun into the air and later was sentenced to 60 days in prison. Since he didn't have a gun license, and and the gun he fired is not his, he was charged for the crime he did. So he wanted to get another chance so he can play in Europe so he can play again for this season.

Lonny also committed  another crime on the same year. In July he shipped four guns through Fedex and one again he was charged for shipping guns to sent to Collage ParkBaxter admitted that he sent three guns using Fedex.

Kevin-Prince Boateng & Racism

Kevin-Prince Boateng was disrespected by the opposing fans in Busto Arsizio. The team that they were facing were called Pro Patria. Kevin-Prince reacted to this incident in a bad manner. He grabbed the ball in the middle of game play and kicked the ball right at where the shouts were coming from. He then took his shirt and walked off the pitch which cannot do in football or soccer. His teammates followed him to the tunnel and the game was stopped because well you can't play a football match with only one team or in any sport. Many players like Kevin-Prince Boateng received racist chants from fans. Mario Balotelli has been abused many times by the opposing fans even sometimes by the home fans. When he heard the racists chants he casually turned to them and told them to be silent. He handled it better than how Boateng handled it.

I think racism should not take place in any sport. It something that to me is ridiculous. No player should have to be abused like that. Any fan who chants racists things to a player should be banned from ever attending the home and away games of that specific team. We are in the 21st century and racism is just a thing of the past.

NBA Finals

The Miami Heat will be taking on the San Antonio Spurs on thursday at American Airlines Center. Both Miami and Spurs are a good team full of athletes. The big three of Spurs will try to defeat the big three of Miami. In my point of view the Miami Heat will become the 2013 NBA Champions. Why I say that is because the Heat have experience and know when to play their hardest. Spurs too have experience but their gone fail and go home after game 5. Game 1 will be on Thursday at American Airlines Center.

Make Up Your Mind! Retired or Not?

Brett Favre is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and the most famous. Favre use to play for the Jets, Green Bay, and the Minnesota Vikings. He started his career in Wisconsin and proved himself worthy as seasons rolled around the year. Soon afterwards, Favre started playing for the Jets. That is when  his rumors about him retiring started roaming around Football fans, in the year 2007. He retired while playing for the Jets causing them a lot of problems. Then after a short period of time, came for the Minnesota Vikings and took them to the finals. Unfortunately, things didn't go as he planned so he retired again. Technically, Brett Favre retired twice.

I think Brett Favre should have stayed just a little longer. His ability to throw the ball with accuracy gave the Vikings a higher chance of winning the championship. Especially because they came so close with the Wisconsin Green Bay at the super bowl. Another year? They might have gotten their hands on that shiny trophy.

Tracy McGrady

Tracy McGrady, better known as T-Mac was one of the most distinguished NBA players in recent memory. Many consider McGardy one of the most versatile players because of the fact that despite being 6'8 he played like a guy who was 6'0. He could shoot, he could dribble and he could pass. He played quite the illustrious career, but sadly McGrady was plagued by injury and as a result he was traded around a lot, and yet McGrady is still respected as a legend. McGrady is still a highly active memeber of both the Houston and Tampa communities. McGrady also has played many winning seasons and know has his own non-profit organization: The Tracy McGrady Foundation. There is no doubt that McGrady was an NBA legend.

Miami Heat Game 7

Miami Heat won last night's game against the Indiana Pacers at American Airlines Center. Both teams were really competitive and gave their best performance. DWade took over the first half by dominating the paint and sharing the ball with his teammates. LeBron James and Chris Bosh helped out Wade in the seconed half by making buckets. The Indiana Pacers are a good team full of athletes. Miami Heat had control over the game from beginning to the end. Miami Heat are the Eastern confrence champions and will go on to the finals taking on the wastern confrence champions San Antonio Spurs.

Jamarcus Russel

Jamarcus Russel is a free agent that plays the quaterback position. He was the first overall pick for the Raiders in the 2007 NFL Draft. He was dropped for inconsistent play on May 6th 2010.

Right now Jamrcus Russel is trying to make an NFL comeback. He shed 50 pounds and now wieghs 256. Interest in Russel is growing from nothing to something. I think Russel can make a comeback if he's very commited.

Players Away From Home:

Begining players playing away from home affects a player in a way that cannot be described, at first they would brush it off at the thought of playing in a team, but slowly it gets to them. They start to miss all the funny things that happen at home and miss all the members until it affects how they play until they somehow get closure and return to normal but in most cases it lasts for many months until one or more members come to live with them like Mario Ballotelli. They will eventually come to regret the decision until make a giant mistake.

Gilbert Arenas

Athlete With Criminal History

Former Washington Wizards Point guard Gilbert Arenas and  Javaris Crittenton got into an argument because  of a gambling debt which led Gilbert Arenas to bring a gun to the Verizon Center locker room. Gilbert Arenas posted the following on his Twitter account: "I understand this is serious..but if u ever met me you know i dont do serious things im a goof ball this story today dont sound goofy to me." The NBA and the Wizards only confirmed that there was an investigation and it was led by the law enforcement of Washington DC. The NBA was suspend indefinitely on Jan 6 2010, he was convict of gun possession in DC and was give 2 years of probation and 30 days in halfway house. The wizard traded Gilbert to the magic for rashard Lewis.

Ched Evans

Ched Evans was a player who played for Sheffield United as a striker. He was a wonderful striker scoring 42 goals in 103 appearances for Sheffield United. Before he played for Sheffield United he used to play for Manchester City. He didn't really shine in Manchester City so he moved to Sheffield to play for Sheffield United. He was convicted for rape and is now serving time in prison.

Evans and another footballer by the name of Clayton Mcdonald were tried after being indicated of raping a 19 year old girl. Evans was convicted on April 20, 2012 and was sentenced to five years imprisonment. Evans was devastated. He was refused to appeal against the conviction and he then again tried but was refused by the cort. Evans might be innocent or not but none of us really know what took place near the hotel.

Damian Lillard: A Promising Player

Damian Lillard is the rookie point guard for the Portland Trailblazers. Lillard who played an amzing season this year has led his young team to the playoffs and ulitimetly being named rookie of the year. Lillard plays a high paced but controled vetran like form of basketball, which sets him apart from many of his rookie counter parts such as Gilchrist, Davis, and Rivers. Throughout high school and college many top ranked programs did not consider Lillard an elite player, but now he has proven all of his doubters wrong. Lillard is undoubtedly one of the best rookies in recent years, and we will be watching him closely.

Chad Henne from NFL to his community

Chad Henne was born and grew up in Berk county where he started playing football as a young kid. Back in his days, players from NFL would sign signatures and walk out on fans. But to Chad, that is simply not enough. He visited his community that helped him get there in the first place. He was coached for free and had the whole neighborhood telling him, "You will one day be the greatest quarterback." The day of his draft, most of the community drove more than 3 hours to see him drafted, showing one of the best support ever in communities.

Chad came back to his community now, to pay back in full respect. Just what a decent guy would do to show his appreciation. He is also helping the young ones achieve their dreams.

Micheal Vick

Jermaine O' Neal

Jermaine O' Neal was a successful forward-center in high school. He was 6'11 and weighed 255 pounds and was eligible for the 1996 NBA Draft. He was born in Columbia , South Carolina and attended Eau Claire High School. He helped them get their third straight state in 1995 and his two favorite basketball players were Hall Of Famers , Hakeem Olajuwon and Bill Russell. He was 17 pick and was picked by the Portland Trail- Blazers. He was formerly the youngest NBA player at 18 years 2 months and 11 day, but  currently is Andrew Bynum. Was his descion a good one, if he went to college would he be a better more mature player today?

Mario Gotze

Mario Gotze is an excellent prospect and a great example of German phenomenal youth system. Gotze is mainly known for his amazing preformance during the UEFA champions. He won many rewards such as golden boy which is given to the best young player in Europe. He is very promising and I know he will be one of the best in years to come.

Chris Paul : High School Star

Chris Paul attended West Forsyth in Clemmons, North Carolina in 1999. Freshman year  Chris Paul was 5 foot tall and was talented but was at a disadvantage. His older brother Charles "C.J." Paul was two years older than him by 2 years and was star junior as point guard. Chris Paul as senior he grow to 5'10 and was staring point guard and in senior year scored 61 points dedicated to his murdered grandfather.

Are Athletes Treated Better Than Others:

The stereotype in the nineties shows that football players are treated better than the average guy at school. They were more popular got invited to parties which is why everyone wants to be like the players. Yes, athletes are treated better. They are loved when they bring in championships and win but then again alot fall on their shoulders; if they lose then they are shunned until they win.
