Didier Yves Drogba Tébily

Didier Yves Drogba Tébily known as Drogba is an Ivorian soccer player who currently plays on a team in the Turkish league called Galacasaray. He is a excellent player and the fans love him. He is already being called a legend all over the world especially at Chelsea. They miss him. He is a very kind and humble man making a foundation that gives food and water to those in need in Africa. After being asked why he said "You have to remember who you are and where you came from in order to be the best".

Didier Drogba was born in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. When he was 5 he went to France by his parents to live with his uncle, Michel Goba, a professional footballer. However, Drogba soon became homesick and returned to Abidjan after three years. He played football every day in a car park in the city but his return to Côte d'Ivoire was short lived. "He really loved soccer it was his hobby," his mom said. Both of his parents lost their jobs and he again returned to live with his uncle. In 1991 he went to France to play for a youth team but this time with his parents. It was here that he began playing team football more frequently, joining a local youth side. Drogba began his career as a junior player at the semi-professional club Levallois, gaining a reputation as a deadly scorer in the youth team and impressing the coach mainly because of his good attitude. His performances earned him a place in the senior squad but even when he scored in his debut, the 18-year-old Ivorian failed to make a good impression on Jacques Loncar, the first team coach.
